Other than an empty (sealable) container large enough to hold all the gas from the tank, you will need a turkey baster, doesn’t really matter what size, and an optional piece of cloth at least 4″ X 4″, (from an old shirt would work fine)
- With the empty container nearby, use the turkey baster to remove as much gas from the tank as you can. You can now put new gas in the tank.
- If you’re going to reuse the gas, place the cloth into the gas tank opening, making sure the edges are still outside the tank so it doesn’t fall in.
- Pour the gas back into the tank.
- Remove cloth
- Close gas tank
- Seal the soiled cloth for disposal & store the turkey baster for cleaning.
- Start mower.
The idea is for the cloth to allow the gas back in the tank, and filtering out the water andor debris. It may take a couple tries to start, and you’ll probably notice increased exhaust for a couple minutes. Once the motor has burned through the soilingmoisture still in the system, it should run normal.
I am not a mechanic or an engine expert of any kind, I’m just a dude. This video is just me showing what I do if moisturedebris removal is needed.
