The Stormlaunchers flew strangely, like a piece of cardboard, but still were lots of fun, once you learned how to fly them. I liked mine a lot, but eventually the radios, batteries, and props deteriorated. So I decided to see if I could put one back in the air with my own radio and Brushless motor. I tried elevons first, but the Stormlauncher did not like that at all, so I abandoned that design and demonstrate the one that worked here.
It is always a lot of fun to try to make things fly. I’m sure others have done it their own way and maybe better, but this is the way I did it. And since it works, it is hard to argue with success.
It still flies like a piece of cardboard, but sure is fun in our snowy weather.
