The problem described in the video has been happening a lot with other customers who have bought the same product. The issue is with the circuit board safety mechanism, which was designed to protect the motors from being overloaded when the filters are too clogged or when the carpet brush gets bound by long fiber.
Unfortunately, the safety mechanism keeps shutting down the circuit even when there is no mechanical load against the motors. It is a simple problem from electrical engineering standpoint, but it would be too much money for Hoover to acknowledge that this actually is a problem. Hoover should consider being proactive in addressing real complaints, instead of putting up silly instructional videos on how to clean the filter when the machine shuts off.
I am considering a class action lawsuit against Hoover, unless they become more proactive in addressing the problem with the model. If you have bought this vacuum and have had a similar problem, please contact me by commenting on this page, please.
