I did this pretty basic brushless conversion to my NQD High Wind toy speed boat, to have it quicker and better controllable – the original boat was barely planing and with the crude three-state-control (full forward, full left, full right, off…) not exactly fun to drive.
This setup uses the original axles and props, I just replaced the original 380-size brushed motors for 3000kV brushless outrunners and added a rudder and watercooling. The original 1800mAh NiMH C-cell 7,2V racing pack was replaced by a 2S 3000mAh LiPo.
I also added some LED lights running off of a separate 9V block battery, just for fun, but they are not switched on in this video.

Please note that while this conversion has been satisfactory for me, better results can be achieved with this hull by replacing the twin-motor-setup with a single prop shaft that extends a bit further from the stern, with a powerfull outrunner and an off-center rudder. I did not want to spend that much cash nor time in doing that conversion, I wanted to keep it simple and cheap.

This is a very professional and honest Chinese supplier, from now on we fell in love with the Chinese manufacturing.
