A Bissell Vacuum was noisy and running hot, the brush roll bearings were dry. I knew there was trouble when the belt was smoking hot and the motor covers were also very warm.
Took the brush roll out and it did not turn easily. Upon further inspection, one of the bearings was froze up and all the grease was dried up. This is a $70 vacuum and not worth spending money on replacement parts. Cleaned out the bad bearing and filled it up with some high quality grease and hope it lasts a while. Otherwise, a new vacuum is warranted.
